Communication:

Each day your child will bring home a binder notebook for you to review. The binder notebook will have your child's conduct sheet and their assignments for the week.  For best results, help your child with their homework each day.  You should also feel free to email me anytime. I will check email each day after school hours.

Homework:

Your child's homework, classwork, tests and handouts will be brought home in their binder notebook. The left side (front) of the binder is for work that is to be returned to school the next day. The right side (back) of the binder will be used for graded work, classwork, handouts, etc. that should be removed each night and retained at home.  Your child will have daily homework.

Conduct:

Your child will begin each week with 100 points in conduct. For the first mark (card pulled on the chart), five points are deducted. For additional conduct marks,  five points will be deducted for each additional mark. A conduct sheet will be sent home daily in your child's binder notebook.

School Hours:

Please do not be late for school. Our day begins as students are dismissed from breakfast and bus duty at 7:40 each morning.  The tardy bell is at 7:45.  Afternoon dismissal begins at 2:30. Information about Extended Day services is available in the office.

Conferences:

My conference time is 11:55-12:40 Monday-Friday. Please call the front office at 442-1090 or write a note in your child's binder notebook to set up a conference time.

Snack:

We will have snack at 9:30. Your child needs to bring a snack from home daily. Please send a healthy snack, no candy.

Birthdays:

Your child is welcome to bring cupcakes or cookies (store bought please) on their birthday. If your child has a summer birthday you're welcome to send cupcakes or cookies during the month of May.

Test Papers:

Test papers will go home on Tuesdays each week. The tests will be in your child's binder notebook. Please review the test papers and conduct report with your child. Remember to sign and return the entire test packet the next day. PLEASE keep all tests stapled. Thank you! :)

Make-Up Work:

When your child is absent, please send a note the next day, whether it is a parent or doctor's excuse. Your child will bring home the work he/she missed on the day they return to school unless you make arrangements to pick up your child's work. Please send it back to school when completed.

Lunch:

Our class goes to lunch at 11:20-11:45.  Student lunches are $2.50.  You may send as much money as you would like to be placed into your child's lunch account. The lunchroom is unable to charge, so please make sure your child has money in his/her account. You're welcome to come and eat with your child any day you would like.  All visitors need to sign in at the office.

Medication:

Remember that if your child requires any type of medication, it must be dispensed by the school nurse.  Also, you must have a medical form completed by the doctor and given to the school nurse.
